Hamish Young - Founder

My passion is creativity! I am fortunate enough to have spent my entire working career in a creative role. Let me tell you a bit more about what that looks like. Below you'll see my life as a chef (food creative) then transitioning into a media creative through youtube and social media.

In 2003 I began my journey as a chef. After completing my chef's apprenticeship in 2007, I moved to the UK to further my culinary education. During these years I worked in high profile venues such as The Roof Top Gardens (Richard Branson) and Wembley Stadium.

In 2009 I returned to Australia working in high end steakhouses and large stadium venues.

From 2013 I began learning about social media content creation. For the most part social media was a past-time. However, in 2023 I commenced a Bachelor of Business Administration and launched Delicious Profits Consulting Agency. I also launched a personal brand in the way of Youtube content creation which pertained to the food & beverage industry. I had found a way to get serious and have serious fun creatively and in business.

The move into business came through having noticed interesting growth in the hospitality sector, with the opening of many cafes, bars and restaurants (IBISWorld 2023). I felt a fear with this revelation. Statistically 70%+ food and beverage businesses will fail within 3 years. I thought, "maybe I can be part of the solution and help businesses be a success rather than a statistic"... Delicious Profits was born.

Right now I am on a mission to discover the essence and identity of cafes and coffee shops in Australia and the globe.

Our mission to bring to light the love of coffee, food and service that highlights the human spirit in all its epicness. Our why, is simple, find a way to stop cafes losing the competitive battle and keep serving their loyal fans
